Family

One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my family.  This past weekend, Mark and I took a trip up to Idaho to do just that.  Here are some of the pictures I took while we were there.

This is my grandma with my cousins  (L to R) Elisabeth, Jessica, Cassie, and Nathan.

Cousins, husbands, and babies.  L to R, Elisabeth with Miles, Jessica with Patrick, (top) Gerrit, Grandma, (top) Justin, Sarah, Nathan, Cassie, (top) Mark.

We took a walk to the park.  It was such a nice day!

Throughout the entire time we were there, I was reminded of how important family really is, and how you should never take your time with them for granted.

Oh where, oh where has my favorite Easter candy gone?!

When I was growing up, there were two things that I looked forward to getting in my Easter basket.  The first was Peeps... covered... like they'll ever stop making Peeps any time soon!  I can find those anywhere.  The second thing was a Russell Stover coconut nest.  This nest was made of coconut and white chocolate (I think...) colored a light green color, and then had three or four jelly beans in the middle.  Yummy!  Last year I looked EVERYWHERE for one of these nests... I've been looking again this year and have had no luck so far.  I looked at the Russell Stover website and all I could find was a milk chocolate version of the nest - NOT the same!  Then I was reading some posts that different people had made about trying to find the nests and apparently Russell Stover has discontinued them!!!! NO!!!!! : (  It makes me sad.  I loved those so much and looked forward to them every year.  Oh well, I guess I'll have to look into making some of my own.

Lately, I feel like doing homework and thinking about homework has been taking up almost all of the spare time I have.  Mark and I did manage to take a break last weekend though.  We met up with a big group of our friends from Wyoming and went to Darryl Worley concert at this place in Denver called the Grizzly Rose.  There's a dance floor in front of the stage and Mark and I had fun swing dancing.  Last Spring while we were both at UW, we took a swing dance class together for a PE credit.  Ever since then, it's been something that we really enjoy doing together, but don't get the chance to that often.

Last Sunday we got to go up to Windsor, CO to visit my aunt and uncle and their family.  My parents, sister, and my grandma met us there.  We had a really nice visit with everyone and were able to catch up with family.

Speaking of family, I can't wait for the break we're going to have in less than a week.  We are going to Idaho to stay with my aunt, uncle, cousins, and my grandma who lives with them.  We'll also get to see two of my cousins and their husbands and their baby boys!  I'm so ready for a break, and I can't think of a better way to spend it than with family.
